Our National Flag

A national flag is the symbol of a nation's sovereignty or independent identity. It introduces the country to the whole world. Every independent country has a national flag of its own. We have our own national flag. Our national flag is the greatest achievement in our national life. It is our pride and glory. In 1971, we achieved a new independent country named Bangladesh and her flag.
Our flag is green with a red circle at the centre. The green colour symbolizes the peaceful youthfulness of this green country and the red circle symbolizes the sun of freedom. The proportion of the length and breadth of our flag is 10:6 and the radius of the red sun is one fifth of its length. The designer of our national flag is Quamrul Hassan.
On our government office buildings, the national flag is hoisted. In the other countries where there are our high commission offices, our flag is hoisted. In the UN, our country's flag is also hoisted. Even while our army personnel on their duty in peace-keeping missions in foreign countries also bear the flag Our president, prime minister and other ministers move in flagged cars. I am proud of our national flag. We are determined to keep its respect high at any cost.

Price hike means the exorbitant increase of the price of almost all the essential daily commodities. There are many reasons of it. Short supply of daily commodities and inflation are mainly responsible for price hike. Sometimes dishonest businesspersons and hoarders artificially raise price for making more profit.
It may also cause due to flood, fault of rail and road communications. Price hike is caused severely in the month of Romadan. Vegetables, brinjal, green chili, sugar and oil become most expensive than. There are some bad impacts of it in our society. Price hike decreases our living standard and increases corruption in our society.
Price hike increases the sufferings of the common people. The poor and the middle class people of our society are affected by it. But, the worst sufferers of it are those who live from hand to month. Government should take immediate actions to control it. The law enforcing disencies should be deployed in the market place to monitor the market price. Legal actions must be taken against the dishonest businesspersons and hoarders.
