Once there lived a poor farmer. He had a goose. It used to lay a golden egg everyday. He sold the golden egg in the market. He was very greedy.....

Ans. Once there lived a poor farmer. He had a goose. It used to lay a golden egg everyday. He sold the golden egg in the market. He was very greedy. He was not happy with only a golden egg a day. He wanted to have all the eggs at a time. He wanted to be the richest man in the village overnight. He thought the goose laid only one egg a day.
So it would take much time for him to be rich. He thought if he cut the belly of the goose, he would get all the eggs at a time. And by this way he would be rich overnight. So he disclosed his plan to his wife His wife was a wise woman and she was not greedy. She requested her husband not to do so. But the man did not pay heed to her advice.

Rather he cut its stomach with sharp knife. But alas! There was no eggs in it. The goose died at once. The man got frustrated and lamented for his foolishness. His wife also rebuked him. She said, "You are foolish but greedy. So you have lost all."
