Ans. The column graph shows the literacy rate of Bangladesh from 1995 to 2010. In 1995, the literacy rate of Bangladesh was 38.1%. Within five years of time, it increased by 17.9% and stood at 56% in 2000. Then, there was a fall of 8.1%. It was 47.9% in 2001. But, through the next two years it again decreased.
It was 43.1% in 2003. Surprisingly enough, the literacy rate increased in the next seven years. It came to 56.8% in 2010. It was the highest in the time-span of 15 years (1995-2010). The column graph illustrates that the literacy rate of Bangladesh steadily increased. for the first five years and decreased for a period of three years. Then it had a sharp increase in the last seven years.
